About Us
Our History
Adansi Development Association (ADA) was established in 2019 by a group of well-meaning indigenes and natives of the Adansi Traditional Area. The founders’ motivation were driven by a common desire to improve the well-being of the people in the 7 Paramount Areas of Adansi through sustainable and inclusive development.
The Association initially decided to focus on Training and Apprenticeship, Sanitation and Environment Cleanliness, Education, Tourism Attraction and Lobbying Businesses in the area to support development in Adansi. ADA began its work with engagement of Nananom within the paramount area, undertaking Health Screening Exercise and providing Training and skills development for the local indigenes. These modest efforts laid the foundation for a growing movement rooted in unity, empowerment, and compassion.
Over the years, ADA has expanded its impact across multiple sectors:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging leaders such as MPs, MMDCEs in an effort to support the local communities.
- Collaboration: Mobilizing the support of indigenes both home and the diaspora to give back to support their communities
- Livelihoods: Providing tailor made support and skills development for our local communities.
- Advocacy: Promoting community participation and good governance.
What began as a collaborative effort by few individuals has evolved into a respected NGO making a lasting difference in the lives of people across Adansi and beyond. With the support of dedicated Patrons, Executives, Members, Volunteers, Donors, and Community Partners, ADA continues to champion a vision of community empowerment and incremental development for all.
We are proud of our journey — and even more committed to the future we are building, together.
